A Progressive must advocate political change with the goal of protecting the people from the power of the wealthy. They should champion social program funding and environmental protection, and be free from the corruption of special interests and cronyism. They must be committed to working toward changing the current political system; the corruption, special interest power, media monopoly, and back room bargaining that has stripped the majority of people of wealth, access to information, and social programs designed to help us. This country was founded to stand for its people. Not just the wealthy few, but for all the people, or so it is written in our constitution.
