A progressive is a person who deals with the realities of the time we live in. We don't try to turn back the clock or stick our heads in the sand and pretend it's 'the good old days', which never existed to begin with. We know that it's one planet, and what we do affects every living thing on it, and try to live responsibly. We expect the bureaucrats to do their jobs, not just enrich themselves at our expense, and manipulate us by using fear, ignorance, and superstition.
