Progressives are forward thinkers. They want to give a world that is better than before to their children. They are concerned about what consequences decisions made today will have on the future. They explore all of the options available and do not go blindly forward. Progressives are exceedingly active in making their visions become reality. This is truly a progressive's core: activism. For there to be progress, there has to be change and for there to be change, there has to be people who are willing to go out and fight for it. Those people are progressives.
