Progressives are people who are not satisfied with the present, and who have hope for the future. They believe in true Democracy, human rights, free speech and civil liberties. In short, they believe in the Bill of Rights, fairness, and equal opportunity for everyone. Progressives also believe in the value of diversity, and that “United we stand, divided we fall.” This means that every member of society, rich and poor, has something to contribute to the common welfare, and that we are more than the sum of our parts when we work together.
