Progressives work to progress society, which is the people, and, therefore, politics and the decision making process; so that everyone has a chance to be self-determining. More specifically, Progressives work for cooperation, justice, equity, sustainable growth, environmental protection, equity in public education, and the like; so that all people have an equal chance to be self-determining, because we recognize the value and worth of every single individual who is present: poor, wealthy, handicapped, able bodied, Mexican, French, indigenous, transplant, Muslim, Catholic, homosexual, heterosexual, atheist or devout Baptist Christian. We believe all are deserving of an equal chance to be self-determining.
