The conservative code-word is 'me'. The progressive code-word should be 'we'. This must remain our values as our forefathers asked for and received sacrifices from all Americans with the benefits accruing to all. We must fight the conservative mantra of the bottom rung sacrificing while the top rung benefits. Progressives must retrace the recent past to the year 2000 and take a different fork in the road other than the one the Supreme Court mapped out. Let us not look at each other to find fault, but look at ourselves to heal what's wrong. Then, each of us must learn or relearn the truths of the birth of our nation, and the Constitutional protections that exist to protect all of us from the overreach of our executive branch of government.
