The most powerful way to get across an idea is with a story/frame that everyone knows. So here is my submission: Progressives are the Luke Skywalkers and the Frodos of the world. Hokey but true.Progressives believe in 'using the force' for good. Government must serve the people, the people must not be put at the mercy of a corporate-state. The corporate-state is about accumulating power and money for an elite few to the detriment of its people; progressives are about empowering the people. Progressives are the champions of liberty and the individual, the rebels fighting against the dehumanizing 'evil empire' which seeks wars for profit at the people's expense.True Progressives reject the 'darkside' of corporate corruption, greed, and war profiteering. Progressives believe in the worth and the dignity of every individual. We believe in the U.S. Constitution, in Camelot, in the American dream.This eternal struggle is, after all, the theme of all the great myths of Western Civilization.
