The terms conservative and liberal have, for whatever reason, evolved into being automatically associated with a particular political party. A progressive is anyone who still believes in human and civil rights, recognizes the necessity of freedom from government intrusion in one's private affairs, and strongly believes that this country is on the wrong track.
