To me, a progressive is someone who is accountable for his/her own actions, feels responsibility toward other members of his/her own society as well as to the global community, respects the environment and is concerned about the lasting impact of today's policies and actions, is committed to the spread of knowledge and education for all people, and believes strongly in fostering appreciation and respect for diversity.
