With 'progress' as the root of the word progressive, first and foremost, a progressive is someone who focuses on forward-thinking strategies to improve themselves, their society. and their world. To most people, progressive implies building and/or expanding on current policies, but true progressive action also embraces reform, throwing out what doesn't work, and looking at problems with an objective eye so that newer, better, more equitable and less divisive policies can emerge. There is much work to be done in America, and it will take progressives to come together and become the taskmasters to a stronger and healthier America for all Americans.
