The first thing people think about when they hear the word 'progressive' is gay marriage. Just as the right-wing has turned the word 'liberal' into a curse word. It's a game plan that has worked well, I must say.Being a progressive is so much more than just being labeled with two words.To me, being progressive means to love your country. Love it enough to think outside the box on energy, technology, science, ect. to try and make it the shining star it once was. On the cutting edge in all fields.I am sad for this country. It has been run so long by the old mind set of 'same old, same old' that it is headed full blast off a cliff.The progressives want to step up and say, 'enough is enough'. It's time to take OUR country back. It's too important to me as a grandmother to set back and just watch from the side-lines. I want a future for my grandchildren, not just a mountain of debt, a ruined environment and no hope of a good job. It's up to us to make that happen.
