A progressive understands that we’re all in this together; that whatever affects one, affects us all; that economies, governments, and societies must be planned as though the planners did not know where they would be ranked in that society. We cannot long stand if our administration continues to: ignore the protections and provisions of the Constitution where they do not suit its ends; escalate damage to the environment, the economy, and human health by favoring corporations over individuals; and foment class war by favoring the rich and lambasting the poor. We must hang together, or we shall all hang separately.
