I take the term 'progressive' to mean 'forward thinking and maturing', in the sense of evolving. I like to think that progressives are the ones responsible for the major social improvements in our lives, and will be the ones most likely to eventually solve the major problems we find ourselves confronted with at this time -- problems brought about by those I consider 'regressives', people who would rather go back to a time that better suits their selfish, less mature natures. In other words, a progressive asks, 'what's good for us?', while a regressive asks, 'what's good for me?'
