Progressives are people that think the government should not be run by those that own the government, but by the people that work and pay taxes. We need to provide a place for people to work, take care of one another and provide a decent education for everyone. Medical care should be available to all. We have a gov't now that is bought and paid for by a very select few. It has become a select society for a few very rich people that take care of themselves and care very little for the poor. They educate the rich. We have to spread the wealth to others. We lose our democracy when we care more for the rich than the poor.
