Progressives care enough about the future, that they are willing to make sacrifices today to ensure the continuation of species and guarantee the balance of nature. Mankind has considered itself so elevated above all other species, that the world is on the brink of self-destruction because of the lack of harmony with our environment. To choose perpetual war to control fossil fuels over the exciting possibility of creating renewable energy and all it's resulting jobs, has proven to be a bankrupt philosophy. I believe Progressives aren't afraid to make changes.
