A 'progressive' is a person who is a free thinker. One who is not afraid to express his opinion even in the event he might be totally opposite to anyone else nearby. Progressives like to think we know which direction the country, schools, etc., should go in, but are also wise enough to know when to compromise in order to reap the benefits and at least head in the right? direction.Progressives, are totally open to change, which usually happens on a daily basis. But they are not afraid to speak up against the changes being made and put forth their ideas and ideals.We're liberals in a package of progressive thinking. We have conservative thoughts occassionally, but more oft than naught we are right up front arguing against a point being made.Others would call us trouble makers. I would call us futuristic in our thinking. Outside of the box comes to mind.That's what I think a progressive is, should be, can be and will be in the future.Sandy LoescheMiami Florida
