I think a progressive is someone who wants to make a difference in this world. They support a woman in her right to choose what she wishes to do with her body. They don't deny anyone the right to get married, even in the case of same-sex marriages. They aren't bribed by big corporations. They want everyone to be able to afford to live a decent and healthy life, not just the rich people. They want everyone to have the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion. They want everyone to be treated equally, no matter what color, sexual orientation or nationality they are. They want the best opportunites available for everyone.
