A Progressive believes in America! A progressive believes in and fights for civil rights & individual liberties. We believe in Progress for the American people - not just the corporations: keeping jobs on shore, fair wages for a fair day's work, health care for all Americans, clean air, a protected environment, and freedom of/for/and from religion. Progressives are not dogmatic. Progressives will fight for justice and against unprovoked wars. Progressives are the future of this country - certainly of this democracy. We uphold the laws, speak the truth without pandering to special interest groups or believing we are delivering God's messages to others. We are civil rights, we are anti-war protestors, we are parents and children, friends and neighbors with compassion for the world and for leaving the world and the environment a better place. We love America and her potential. We do not tolerate discrimination, law breaking, corporate interests over people's interests, liars and manipulators. We celebrate the 4th of July, Memorial Day & Labor Day. We are strong, proud, gentle and loving. We do not hate - but neither can we tolerate the continued abuse from the conservative pseudo-religious wrong. We stand up to be counted, and right the wrongs. We are America.
