Progressives ask not what their country can do for them but what they can do for their country. Our nation was founded on progressive values; progress lines the pages of the best parts of our history books. Our heroes are progressive. A public education, libraries, financial aid and the right to an attorney is progressive. Civil rights and equal rights and workers rights and the right to a minimum wage, and healthcare, and the right to vote and the right to peace- were once, and still are, progressive. America is progressive.
