A progressive is one who believes that the common good should be just that. That it is in the interest of all that family values, the environment, taxation, education, and social justice should all be issues that should be addressed from the perspective of what is right and good for all of us, not just a select few. That budget’s are as much a moral issue as is health care, homelessness, and poverty. A progressive is one who is actively involved in these issues, not just sitting on the sidelines watching what is happening and not doing something about it. And above all, a Progressive is one who respects the rights, beliefs, and faith of others and doesn’t insist that we have all the answers, but that we are open to a discussion of the issues and it is from these discussions that a consensus of what is best for all of us can emerge
