A progressive believes that tomorrows should be better than the past - that just as our forefathers strived to make our world better than theirs, we should do the same for our children and grandchildren - that our forces for peace should lessen those forces for war - that our surplusses should be used for positives, such as better health care for our citizens, instead of unnecessary wars. In other words, the progressive promotes constructive actions instead of destructive actions - not only for our country, but also for the world.
