A progressive believes that we are all in this together, that as long as we have homeless people and poor people and illegal immigrants then none of us is better off. We are all embarrased, or should be by the way we treat people in prison by beating them etc. by the way we treat people with mental diseases by letting them become homeless. Progressives believe that those of us who benifit the most from our society financialy should pay more taxes! And that money should be used to benifit all of us, not just the few.
