A progressive cares about people and their health, safety and well-being. She also acknowledges that our current systems of taking care of people are failing miserably and need to change. A progressive is a conservative, interested in conserving our natural resources, our planet, our collective health and happiness. As opposed to people who call themselves 'conservative', who are only interested in conserving slavery, pollution, and other outmoded ways of life, that hurt people! A progressive is a liberal, because liberty means freedom, and we support that! As opposed to people who call themselves 'conservative', placing themselves at odds with liberals, yet out of the other side of their mouths, condoning war by calling it freedom-fighting.
