A progressive is a person who wants an America with a govermental leadership, at all levels that works for everyone. This would be an environmentally pristine and socially progresive nation where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their dreams, and have the incentives to help others achieve theirs. A progressive would take the words on the the Statue Of Liberty literally, 'With liberty and justice for all, equally, under the law: a beacon of hope for the world, and a model for other nations to emulate. A progressive would stand for and teach peace.
