A progressive is a person who works actively towards the ideal of a better future for everyone in the nation. They do not divide things down the middle but rather search for a compromise which the majority of people can believe in. Their dreams are not rooted in the past ideal of some golden age. A Progressive understands that the best has yet to be attained. They know that to achieve this we must actively construct programs and infrastructure which will sustain the nation as it matures into the kind of country that can and wishes to support all of its people, not just a select few.
