A progressive is an independent thinker who believes in looking at the entire problem, analyzing the root cause and ACTUALLY coming up with a feasible solution instead of the usual 'bandaid' approach to which most conservatives subscribe. We believe we are charged with the responsibility to preserve our planet for future generations, end our dependence on others for energy and care for the less fortunate among us especially when it comes to health care. We also believe the government is charged with the responsibility to provide its citizens with whatever we need to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness....along those lines, we believe health care is indeed a right NOT a privilege since without our health we cannot pursue our other rights.While we still believe in the American dream, we also believe there are enough resources for everyone, not just a privileged few.
