A progressive is an individual who has a balanced interest in the impact of today's legislation and policies on the future of the human race and the planet. A progressive does not put instant gratification ahead of the greater good. My grandfather's generation was composed mostly of progressives who were repressed by big money and big business. Today we are dealing with another gilded age and another privileged class. But today the consequences for our earth and our children's children are more dire than the ones my grandfather contemplated. Hopefully more progressives will speak out.
