A progressive is everything a conservative claims to be, but isn't. Progressives are compassionate. We believe that we have a social obligation to help those less fortunate. Progressives are fiscally responsible. We live within our means and expect governments and corporations to do likewise. We want a fair wage for a reasonable days work. We earn our money honestly, not through corporate welfare or platinum parachutes. Progressives believe in the constitution. We support organizations that file suit whenever it is violated. Progressives support the rights of the individual over the rights of the state. We support the right to turn off the TV if a program offends you, to refuse to have an abortion if you oppose the procedure, and the right to speak out if you disagree with your government.
