A progressive is fiscally responsible and socially progressive. As my dad used to say, Deeds Speak Louder Than Words. As the Bible says, By Their Deeds Ye Shall Know Them. 'This commandment I leave with you: Love One Another As I Have Loved You'. Progressives put Christian values into deeds. We love our neighbors as ourselves and put it into action. We feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked, help the poor, the sick and handicapped. We care for the widow, the orphan, the poor, as the Bible tells us we must. We love mercy, justice and (try) to walk humbly with God. We care for the planet and every being on it, human and non. For God gave us this planet to live on and defiling it defiles God and defiles the gift.
