A progressive is someone that puts partisan politics and greed aside and works to find solutions that benefit all. Solutions that insure that we have a future and promote real progress. It suggests the ability or desire to make changes when they are needed, not wait around with the historic reactionary ideology that has robbed this country of so much progress already. Ideally, you would think that all politicians would be interested in the future of the country and the collective good but most enter PUBLIC SERVICE for very selfish reasons. If they didn't, we wouldn't need to scream and yell about it and our future would be secure and certain, unlike it is today.
