A progressive is someone who attempts to see both sides of an issue and find common ground to deal with the issue. If there is no common ground, then there must be an attempt at peaceful co-existance. A progressive looks to find innovative solutions that go forward. The past can be a valuable guide but the clock can never be turned back. Finally, a progressive is not necessarily Republican or Democrat.
