A Progressive is someone who believes in expanding human rights rather than corporate rights. And by 'humans' progressives mean all humans, not just straight, white males or American citizens. And by 'rights' progressives mean the right to a decent life that includes good, publicly-supplied education and health care, meaningful employment at a living wage (with the right to organize) and a heathy, peaceful environment that includes clean air and water. Progressives also believe that military actions should be limited to defensive response and that the introduction of any religious dogma into governmental policy is unconstitutional and harmful to the well-being of society.
