A progressive is someone who believes in progress for all people. Not just the rich, not just the poor, not just the 'Red' states, not just the 'Blue'. A progressive doesn't believe in the Red/Blue dichotomy, but knows that there are all kinds of people everywhere, and you can't dismiss people just because they might belong to some supposed group.A progressive believes that: progress is not measured by money, whether earned, saved or spent; corporations are not people; religion and politics should not be mixed; the future is for every sentient human; and that an educated and well-informed populace is absolutely essential.
