A progressive is someone who believes in the Constitiution which lays out its purpose to 'establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.' We are tolerant of others and their views. We believe that we are our brother's keepers, that what happens to the least among us is important to each of us. We are the body politic and as such expect our government to do our bidding. We expect a regulated capitalism that allows all an opportunity for success and livelihood.
