A progressive is someone who believes society should work for the good of all its members. A progressive knows that people make up societies, not governments and not corporations. These are entities and should only exist to aid people in improving their lives. A progressive knows that no person, no society, and no entity can exist within an environment without both influencing and being influenced by that environment; therefore, any action taken by any of these must be for the good of the entire environment because to do otherwise is self-destructive and immoral.
