A progressive is someone who believes they 'are their sister's keeper'. A progressive believes in the America they learned about in school, the America where if you work hard enough and play by the rules you can get ahead, because in America there is equal opportunity and fair play. We progressives believe that government should serve all people and that there should be a war on poverty, not a war on poor people.We believe in the rule of law, but more than that we believe in Justice for all people and that mercy works better than retribution. We believe in the America imagined by out Founding Mothers and Fathers, only better.
