A progressive is someone who believes we should always be trying to make the world a BETTER place. We should always be trying to be more humane and considerate and accepting -- how impossible is it to believe that human beings are still slaughtering each other like barbarians??? We should always be trying to better educate our people. We should always be trying to make the air we breathe fresher and the water we drink purer. We should always be trying to develop cleaner and safer energy sources. We should always be planting trees. We should always be trying to keep our populations under control. We should always be trying to make sure our world's wealth is distributed equitably -- just how many millions does one person need??? We should always be TRYING.
